Rehearsal and Studio :: The road to completion
23.12.10 - "Studio: Recording drums"
Finally, time had come for Magnus to enter Lionheart studio and record the drums for our album. Accompanied by Øyvind Larsen (our handsome man-behind-the-mixing-desk-and-owner-of-studio) and several bandmembers during the next six days, we started wednesday 8th of December. We got the drums set up and got a good basic drumsound surprisingly quick, and it sounded great too! The next five days was intense, but both Magnus endured the drums and Øyvind endured "us" hehe. It was a great vibe, and much craziness were born. We compiled a video which can be seen above, containing some actual drumming, within all the other crazy stuff happening, so we hope you'll have a good time watching it. Through the session we learned about Valentino (watch the video), the art of good food, how to piss of drummers when they're dead tired ("Play it better!") and even experienced the annual penguin awards. Oh, and ofcourse, drumming. We have loads of footage, more which hopefully will see the light of day later. But for now, enjoy the drum sessions until the next studio video from the bass recording arrives!
