Rehearsal and Studio :: The road to completion
08.12.10 - "Second rehearsal before studio"
Studio is closing in, and we met up in Tønsberg for the second studio rehearsal together this cold and snowy saturday. The plan was to go through the last four songs of the upcoming album. We started off with Deathlines, a quite catchy yet groovy piece of metal. It is connected to another song "Triptych" and the last part in a...piece-of-three kinda thing. I think Deathlines together with Freeze me will be the most catchy and shorter songs on our album.
We then continued with Emberstorm(: Grand Infection) and A Rural Trauma, two of the longest songs on the album, and also most progressive and tricky. So fair to say, there were many parts we had to really go through in detail, but we figured out the important stuff. And had some fun and frustration at the same time, as you probably may see in the video. We actually didnt get through to Triptych this time, so we will play through it the next(last!) rehearsal before Magnus enters Lionheart studio. Not so much else to report at the moment, Emberstorm and A Rural Trauma are very dynamic songs, containing many different parts, though held within a structure. It may require some time and effort from the listeners, but hey, It'll be worth your time ;)
Cheers, Morten & Frail Grounds
